The employment law team advises and represents companies, executives, and employees in all matters relating to individual and collective employment law. A particular focus is placed on the drafting, termination, and settlement of employment relationships, as well as the preparation of expert opinions on employment law issues.
 

Termination and ending of employment relationships

We support employees and employers in all matters relating to the termination of employment relationships.

We offer employees comprehensive advice on reviewing dismissals, filing unfair dismissal claims, and enforcing their claims. We represent them in court and negotiate settlement agreements, for example, on severance payments, continued employment, or leave of absence.

We support employers right from the start of the termination process, as this is where mistakes are often made that can jeopardize the validity of a termination. We advise on ordinary and extraordinary dismissals, warnings, and unfair dismissal proceedings. We also provide support in preparing hearings on suspicion and works council hearings, as well as in drafting letters of dismissal. Our activities include representation before labor courts and the development of viable strategies to protect and promote economic interests.
 

Termination agreements and settlement agreements

In the case of mutually agreed solutions, we draft and review termination agreements and settlement agreements. In doing so, we regulate all essential points—from the date of termination to exemptions and severance payment modalities to vacation compensation and the preparation of references—in order to create clarity for you.
 

Variable remuneration and bonus schemes

We support employees in enforcing claims arising from variable remuneration, such as bonus or target agreements, targets, or commission regulations. We review the respective agreements, clarify the burden of proof and representation, and represent you in legal disputes, particularly in cases of outstanding payments or unclear clauses.
 

Employment contracts and contract drafting

A precisely worded employment contract creates clear framework conditions for the employment relationship. We draft, review, and revise employment and service contracts, focusing on your business requirements. In doing so, we develop contract structures that can be flexibly adapted to your needs.
 

Works constitution law and co-determination

We advise on all issues relating to cooperation between employers and works councils—from the development and negotiation of works agreements to support during restructuring. Our approach combines practical solutions with the careful implementation of labor law requirements and takes into account the interests of both sides.
